San Francisco 49ers rookie defensive end Romello Height was carted off the field during Monday’s practice, a concerning development that led to a premature end to the session.

49ers Injury Update: Romello Height and Christian Kirk

The incident involving Height occurred after medical staff were observed examining his right leg and arms. This event follows closely on the heels of another setback for the team, with receiver Christian Kirk already sidelined.

Kirk’s first training camp practice with San Francisco concluded Sunday due to a calf strain, requiring him to leave the field with a trainer. Kirk joined the 49ers after a notable performance with Houston last season.

During the previous year, Kirk recorded 28 receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown in 13 regular-season games for the Texans. He further contributed 10 receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns during the playoffs.

Other 49ers Roster Concerns

The 49ers organization has a history of managing multiple injuries, and the recent incidents add to existing concerns. Several other players are currently dealing with physical setbacks.

  • Vederian Lowe is sidelined with a high-ankle sprain.
  • Gracen Halton remains out with an undisclosed injury.
  • Andrew Farmer II is also currently sidelined.

Following the early conclusion of Monday’s practice, the team initially announced that Height was experiencing cramps. This clarification provided some immediate relief, though the visual of him being carted off the field had initially amplified worries for fans and analysts tracking the 49ers’ preparations.
