Trump Media & Technology Group will sell real-time access to posts from top Truth Social accounts, including President Trump’s, starting Aug. 1. The company announced the Truth API data feed on Thursday, targeting Wall Street firms that rely on rapid information.
Truth API: Real-Time Data for High-Frequency Traders
The service will deliver posts to paying customers in milliseconds, catering to high-frequency trading firms and others affected by delays in market-moving news. It includes 24/7 coverage and an archive of posts dating back to 2022.
Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of Trump Media, called the API a "meaningful, ongoing source of revenue" and a way to monetize proprietary assets. The company did not disclose pricing.
Why Truth Social Posts Move Markets
President Trump, with 12.9 million followers, frequently uses Truth Social to announce policy updates, such as tariffs or statements on Iran, which have previously influenced financial markets. His sons and the White House also maintain high-profile accounts on the platform.
The API launch follows Trump’s 2021 creation of the media company after major social platforms suspended his accounts post-Jan. 6. Those suspensions have since been lifted.
