Boston police discovered a dead body Saturday at a Mattapan home owned by the husband of U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, prompting a homicide unit investigation. Officers responded to the Malta Street property at 1:52 p.m. after a report of a person in need of investigation, police spokesperson James Moccia confirmed.
Police Confirm Death at Pressley-Linked Property
Moccia stated that officers found the individual deceased upon arrival but provided no further details. The home was cordoned off with crime scene tape, and a police cruiser remained on-site Saturday evening. As of Sunday, authorities had no additional updates on the case.
Property Records Tie Home to Conan Harris
City records list Pressley’s husband, Conan Harris, as the owner of the two-story, seven-bedroom house built in 1910. The property, assessed at $919,000, is currently a rental and on the market for $1.15 million. Pressley and Harris do not reside there.
A spokesperson for Pressley issued a statement Saturday night: “The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family.” WBZ-TV contacted the real estate agent handling the listing but received no immediate response.
Police have not released further details as the homicide unit continues its probe. Updates are expected as the investigation unfolds.
